When Bose launched the Acoustimass speaker technology, they redefined views on speaker size and quality of sound. These speakers are small enough to fit into the palm of your hand and yet produce audio quality before unheard of from speakers so small. The speakers are actually only 3” high! Even though they are small, they deliver bass that is deeper and fuller than any other Bose technology to date.
These speakers virtually disappear into the décor of your room and are therefore especially good for small areas. They can be put on bookshelves and even window sills or easily be hidden away behind small pieces of furniture. Despite their size, they offer clearer definition, less distortion and even better highs that envelop any area in beautiful sound. They are the result of years of research and testing on behalf of Bose.
There are now 5 versions of the Acoustimass speakers product, 3,5,6, 10 and 16. Each of these has a central module that provides the low end frequencies. the 5 has two stereo speakers, the 10 has an additional centre channel speaker for dialogue and movie soundtracks plus 2 rear channel speakers for wrap around sound. Finally, the 16 has everything that comes with the 10 plus one final speaker for the rear centre channel thus filling the room with legendary Bose sound! The Acoustimass is also incredibly easy to set up, it has easy to follow instructions and colour-coded wires which means you can be listening to high quality sound within an hour of opening the box!
The design is very modern and the balance is excellent. Should you wish to mount your speakers on a stand, there are many different products to choose from which are sleek and slim and also do not take up space. The speakers themselves also come in a range of colours.
The Acoustimass main module works with the small speakers to deliver incredible effects with almost no distortion and is thus especially good for home theatre use. Music just washes over you in all directions!
